Will it be better off if my girlfriend and I attend the same college or different ones?

She's most likely attending one that is different, about 2 hrs away in the same state. (both in upstate New York) I love her very much and we've been going out for a year and 4 months. I do understand that we should meet people and experience college, and I'm willing to do that, but I nor does she aspire to hook up. I don't know how I will feel when I go away of course, and how she will react to these changes, but I would love to stay with her, and she deems to be extremely compatible with me and is one of the best things in my life. I know 2 hours isn't too bad, but what will happen? Should I brace anything? and one of her choices for college is the one I'm attending, so would it be better if we attend the same one? (better in terms of our individuality and growth that everyone should experience during college)
