Not wearing gles, leads to blindness?

I think it can make her eyes worse. My eyes are in pretty bad condition. I wore gles until about 2 years ago when I switched to contacts. My eyesight actually improved a little after I got the contacts! They're a lot more comfortable than gles, it's like not even having anything there.
