Can we biuld a water pipeline across the country?

I wouldn't believe what ABC says. Water is extremely plentiful. It is miles thick over most of our planet. Most rain water runs back into the ocean. Clearly there are places that are going to have water shortages like here in So Cal but we will have to adapt. I would say that we might build a pipe from some Alaskan rivers to So Cal but probably no need for east west pipes.
