Will Clairol Natural Instincts work for me in this situation?

Okay, I've gotten into a little predicament with my hair. It is naturally light brown. Around the beginning of the summer, I dyed it dark brown from a box dye. The next time I dyed it, I chose a burgundy color. I didn't like the way it faded so quickly, so I went to the salon and got the burgundy done the next time. Then my roots started coming in, so I got highlights to conceal them and lighten up a bit. Now my hair is a light reddish color with highlights. It is way too expensive for me to keep going to the salon, so I was thinking about using Clairol Natural Instincts until my roots grow in so much that I have my natural color back. Would this work? Any input is appreciated, I'm at a loss here!
