My father built a home on land which is on the another person's name.Who will be the owner?
Hi to all...I would like to explain the whole things in detail...I am from rural area ( Mahrashtra State,India ) Actually my father is a illeterate farmer staying in my villeage.Before 20 years back he purchased little part of land which is just adjacent to the villeage ( actually it was farming land before but as village goes on expanding it is being purchsed by villagers for building homes).But that time because of money problem my father couldn't transfer that land on his name.He postponed it for some period with the concent of land owner.Unfortunately after few months that land owner expired.After that my father built home on that land & we are staying there for last 20 years.Presently we built new home on the same place.But after the death of land owner it was automaticaly inhereted to his 5 sons.Until the time we don't have any problem from those people,also they did not interrupt in home construction. Out of 5 inhereted land owners 3 are ready to transfer that land on my father's name.(As the land is inherited they still didn't decided the boundries of their individual share ). My question is: is that possible? We are staying on place for 20 years.Then who will be the owner of home in case they denied to transfer land on my father's name? Price of that land has already been paid but dont have any legal paper except verbal saying.We don't have any bond or legal paper to prove our ownership..Need help...
