I think collecting things that people have around the house that they no longer need. Each of your coworkers probably has a lot of excess junk like toys, books, clothes, electronics and household goods. If you say okay The third Sunday in June we're collecting things that people are willing to donate (or put notices through town, at churches, schools, grocery stores) and have a giant yard sale. It will take time and some effort but almost zero funds. The biggest time taker would be sorting, pricing and organizing. Hope this helps.
