Does he like me????? or only as a friend?

we had 1 cl this whole year and we really became close.(bff lol) (he had a gf then btw) And 4 like 8 months i secretly had a crush on him and around May he broke up with the gf. So i noticed he was getting flirty leading up to that point, but i still neva told him i liked him. then 1 wkend at the end of school we talked (flirted) til like 4am! N i reallly liked him at this pt. Then the next day another close friend (who likes him too) was like dont tell anyone but him and i hooked up (made out) on friday...ok wow and he had the audacity get with her (who he always told me he hated) and then flirt til 4 with me a day later. So i came clean and told the chick he got with that i liked him the whole yr. N she was like well thats perfect bc hes always telling me he likes u and how pretty u are etc. So she tells the guy that i found out bout his hook up with her and he txts me "last nite made me realize i like you" ok wow. Is he worth it or was that just a shady move? or is bffs enough?
