Crap..my xbox controller kinda dropped in water..help. It didnt get submerged but water got into it.?

It was on my dressor and i had my mic in and it got tugged on. Below my dressor is my cats water bowl. So controller starts falling towards water bowl, i juggle it and somehow hit the water bowl which causes water to splash up on my controller. Freaked out wiped it off and all that. im in the middle of a gears of war 2 online match. So i dry it and cuz i was winning i kept playing. Now all of a sudden my L trigger is fine but my controller thinks im pushing it in cuz im always zoomed in but im not pressing it. Any ideas..is my controller broken? (just got it too, one of those brand new silver and black ones with the D-pad that turns)
