Can i use scotch tape to repair my split cette tape?

I have done that by taping both sides of the tape with scotch tape and then trimming to the same size as the cette tape. I didn't have a problem with it sticking to the rollers. it just went mute for the split second it was on the scotch taped part. good luck.
